1- Install 2012_07_04_01_webvulnscan8.exe [Original Installer]

2- Navigate to 

         [C:Program Files (x86)AcunetixWeb Vulnerability Scanner 8]
                                      OR        
            [C:Program FilesAcunetixWeb Vulnerability Scanner 8]

3- Replace Activation.exe and wvs.exe with the one in the zip file

4- Open Acunetix Enter any Info and you'll be good to go [Next-Next-Finsh] ^.^

5- Have Fun ^.^

Downloading this release then updating to the new build and copying over the activation.exe and wvs.exe seems to work FYI.
